Giancarlo Minardi has urged Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur to learn the Italian language after the challenging 2025 season the team experienced.
“If I were him, I'd finally try to learn Italian.”

The 78-year-old, in his assessment of the campaign experienced by the Scuderia Ferrari outfit, highlighted how empathy from the people could prove to be even more valuable than a financial reward.
“If I were him, I'd finally try to learn Italian. In a competitive team, empathy is often worth as much, if not more, than a pay rise,” Minardi began to Quotidiano Sportivo.
The founder of the now-defunct Minardi F1 outfit continued by stressing the need for the 57-year-old to be more cautious about the statements he makes to the media.

“In his place, I would be more careful about public statements. For months, he guaranteed that they were working on the SF-25 to improve it, and instead, in the autumn, he said that already in April, they had decided to interrupt development to focus everything on 2026. A bit incongruous, no?”
The Ferrari outfit experienced one of its most challenging seasons in recent years. The Italian outfit failed to record a race victory and could only muster as many as seven podium finishes in the 24 races on the calendar.
