The German driver could achieve a major milestone, and can step on the podium for the first time in his career, finishing ahead of nine-time British Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton.

At the front, Norris took advantage of Piastri getting the 10-second penalty. The Australian was leading, but had to serve his penalty in the pit lane during his final stop, which handed the lead to his teammate.

It was a disappointing day for Max Verstappen. After the Dutchman spun following a Safety Car restart, he crossed the finish line in P5 after a late charge.
