Red Bull Racing's team boss, Christian Horner, sees his recently dropped driver, Sergio Perez, returning to F1 in the future. Perez's next move is yet to be revealed. Will he get another chance in the sport, or will he leave F1 for good? Should the Mexican return to the premier class, Christian Horner believes that one team specifically could benefit from his services.
Cadillac and General Motors will make their entrance into Formula 1 in 2026. The team has already expressed its desire to contract at least one experienced driver. Sergio Perez's name quickly comes to mind. "I wouldn't be at all surprised even if they went for the experience of somebody like Sergio. If he decides he wants to continue his career in Formula 1," the team boss told TalkSport. Of course, the Mexican has been driving in F1 since 2011 and has driven for teams like Sauber, McLaren, and Force India.

Horner sees no threat in Cadillac:

Cadillac comes to Formula 1 with big ambitions. The Americans - who start with Ferrari engines but will later produce their own power units - eventually want to compete for wins and even championships. Horner is looking forward to the arrival of General Motors - Cadillac's parent company. But he is not too worried about the new team, either.
"Well, it doesn't change anything really for us. I mean, we just focus on ourselves. Some of the paddocks will be a little busier with an 11th team in 2026, but for us, it's business as normal. They've got their own mountain to climb, and we're focused on making sure that we're staying at the top of ours." Horner explained.
