Christian Horner "proud" of what team achieved in 2019

Christian Horner has said that he is proud of what the team achieved in 2019, with Max Verstappen finishing in third in the drivers' championship, while Alex Albon who joined him midway through the season ended in eighth.

"We have seized every opportunity for most of the year, I think. In some cases, even slightly more than that," Horner said on the Talking Bull podcast.

"We were sharp on a strategic level, we made very good decisions. We relied on the pit crew to be able to send the car outside quickly and change tires.

"Max has reached such a high level this year. He is the driver who surpassed everyone in 2019."

The team secured three race victories in 2019, whilst also securing seven podium finishes, largely thanks to Verstappen.
