Bottas on future with Mercedes: "No word mentioned about next year"

Valtteri Bottas is yet to confirm his future at Mercedes and with a pool of young talented drivers signed with the team, he may not have a seat with the team in years to come. Bottas has had two race wins so far this season, two more than what he got last season and is hopeful that he has done enough to stay at the team.

“There’s still nothing to talk about with the team or anyone else,” Bottas said to PlanetF1. “We are at the same stage as we were when the season started. There is no word mentioned about next year.

Toto Wolff opened up on the situation and was very positive about the Finns performance so far this season.

“There’s no news on that," Wolff said. “Valtteri has been driving very well and it has been quite unbelievable to see how he has improved his performances since last year.

With Esteban Ocon and George Russell signed with Mercedes it will be interesting to see what Mercedes decide to do.
