Valtteri Bottas has vowed to keep working to try and beat Lewis Hamilton, after the Finn came second to his teammate with Mercedes securing a 50th one-two in Formula 1.
Bottas looked comfortable for much of the race in second place but never looked like catching Hamilton. However, Bottas had to fight for his place in the final lap as Charles Leclerc closed in following a virtual safety car. Nonetheless, Bottas consolidated his second place in the World Championship standings but with Hamilton in a league of his own, the Finn was downbeat following the race.
"Nothing actually happened in this race," said Bottas.
The Mercedes driver was adamant the five-time World Champion is not unbeatable but praised his consistency.
"The start was the best opportunity for me and I couldn't get past Lewis. But he was faster than me, he's very consistent, but he's not unbeatable. I have to work harder to figure out how to do better than him."
