Aston Martin on RB19: 'That's the worrying factor'

Red Bull Racing is the dominant team in Formula 1 in 2023. The Austrian team scored every pole position in 2023 and also booked victory every time. According to Pedro de la Rosa, Aston Martin's ambassador, every team must believe they can catch up with Red Bull.

The RB19 is very fast on the straights, especially with the DRS open. In addition, the RB19 's tyre wear also seems to be much lower than the other cars. Still, De la Rosa thinks the Austrian team is catching up.

"They are catchable. They always knew they would have less time to develop their car in the wind tunnel than other teams, but the truth is the gap is pretty big you know, so they're catchable, there's only three races that have gone and there's plenty of laps and races to go, it's a long season ahead" said the man from Aston Martin in the F1 Nation podcast.

Red Bull's 2023 car does not seem to have any weaknesses, and that is what worries the Aston Martin ambassador in particular. "They have such a complete package, it's what the worrying factor is, they're quick in qualifying, maybe they're not as dominant in the race, which circuit will they struggle at? None. They are quick everywhere, but they're catchable and that's the approach every team has to believe," said the Spaniard.
