Alpine comes out with A522 next month

Alpine, following AlphaTauri's lead, is letting it know through channels when it will present the car for 2022. On Monday, February 21, the French racing team will announce what the new car looks like.

By bringing in Fernando Alonso last season, Alpine hoped to make great strides in the development of the car. The Spanish driver contributed his share and, together with teammate Esteban Ocon, managed to lead his team to fifth place in the constructors' championship with 155 points.

The team is obviously not content with that in 2022. Alpine indicated several times that it wants to fight for the world title again in the future and hopes to get closer to the bigger teams with the rule change. The A522, as Alpine's new car is called, should contribute to the performance that Ocon and Alonso will achieve.

The biggest achievement of last season was the Hungarian Grand Prix when Alpine managed to take the victory. Alonso and Ocon showed excellent cooperation. As the Spaniard managed to keep Lewis Hamilton behind him for a long time, Ocon was eventually able to grab the win.
