Tsunoda and De Vries test Pirelli rain tyres this weekend

Next weekend, the Pirelli test days will take place at Circuit Paul Ricard. Both Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries will be in action for Scuderia AlphaTauri.

GPblog asked AlphaTauri which drivers will be featured at the track. A spokesperson replied the following: "I can confirm that Yuki will drive our AT03 on Friday and Nyck on Saturday."

The AT03 is the 2022 season car, so the Italian team's new car will not yet be seen in action (it will be unveiled on 11 February in New York). This coming weekend is specifically for testing the Pirelli rain tyres. Therefore the French Circuit Paul Ricard has been chosen for this test, as it can offer the proper conditions. Mercedes will also get the chance to test the rain tyres.

From 23 to 25 February, official pre-season testing will take place in Bahrain.
