Fernando Alonso is fed up with the controversy surrounding his disagreement with the FIA. In the last few races, the Alpine driver has regularly had a verbal tug of war with Michael Masi over the application of the rules, which he feels are not always consistent.
During the United States Grand Prix, another dispute arose, this time involving Alpine as a team. Alonso and his team were not happy about the penalty he was given for an off-track overtaking, while the same penalty was not given to Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Alonso wants to get rid of controversy

As expected, the incidents at the Circuit of the Americas were the focus of Alonso's press conference ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix. The Spaniard takes a milder stance, opening up to Masi's opinion.
"The meeting is tomorrow, so I'm open to hear what he wants to say," Alonso begins, among other things, to the Mexican branch of Motorsport.com. At the same time, he fears that the aforementioned incidents will take center stage in that meeting. "That's exactly what I don't want, because I think there are many other things we should discuss in that meeting, like the first lap in Austin".
