Albon: "I think the Mercedes are hiding"

Alexander Albon had a fine Friday today until he hit the wall in his Red Bull. Nevertheless, the Thai was able to set a fast time.

“I’ve had harder crashes. I thought I had it but then obviously you got a tankslapper as well. We’ll have a look at the data and see,” Albon said to Sky Sports F1.

"I think we definitely made a step as a team. Car feels good and I think we expected worse to be honest coming here on Friday. Car was hooked up straight away," the Thai continued.

"It’s looking good, obviously I think the Mercs are hiding. But the car feels well balanced. Today the weather and the wind is going to be so much different to what we are going to get tomorrow. We’ll do a little bit of a reset,” Albon concludes.
