Cyril Abiteboul admits that his Renault team's power unit is still not at the standard that Mercedes and Ferrari have sit with theirs.
2014 marked the introduction or the hybrid engine, and Mercedes have dominated Formula One, but this season, Ferrari have been the team at the top.
The latest update by Ferrari has really impressed Renault CEO Cyril Abiteboul.
"I'm impressed by what we do, but I'm also impressed by what they do, because it's a fact, the gap is not small," Abiteboul said to Motorsport.com.
"What we do is just keeping that gap. I think that Ferrari in particular has taken an important step in the last races with its factory team but also with its customer teams (Sauber and Haas).

"It's very visible, and we need to consider what we do and the priorities we put forward. We must continue to deliver what we are supposed to deliver in terms of power."
Renault are currently sitting comfortably in fourth in the constructors' championships, 19 points ahead of their closest rival, Haas - who are coincidentally powered by Ferrari.
