'A useless thing in F1’ – Verstappen backed after Dutchman criticism of Spa delay

"A useless Pirelli object in the current F1. Why bother producing or even dragging it around the world," writes Olav Mol on X together with the photo of the wet tyres.

These tyres are rarely used in action in F1, and they were not in use in running during the Belgian GP either.

The race direction chose to wait until the track in the Belgian Ardennes was almost dry. After about an hour and a half, the race started behind the safety car could finally begin, although with a rolling start. The field was then able to quickly switch to slicks, with overtakes becoming extinct.
