After Max Verstappen's early morning success during FP1, FP2 was the opposite with the Dutchman finishing the session in P9. Teammte Yuki Tsunoda faired quite worse, with the Japanese driving finishing the second session in P15.
After a lousy weak start to the weekend, McLaren, and in particular Lando Norris seemed to have much better session in the afternoon finshing P2, ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri en P6.

Mercedes however, look set to have a great weekend in Canada with the team showing consistency and above all, speed with both George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
For Ferrari the situation is much more touch and go, though, as Charles Leclerc destroyed the left-hand side of his Ferrari, which rendered him unable to take part in the second practice session. However, the Monegasque proved quick around the twisty and bumpy bends of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, so he cannot be ruled out from achieving a good result in Canada.
