Wolff addresses rumors of alleged Sardinia meeting with Verstappen

There’s been plenty of speculation in recent weeks about Max Verstappen’s future in Formula 1.
The Dutchman has long been linked to a potential move to Mercedes, and it’s no secret that Toto Wolff would be interested in securing the four-time world champion.

Recently, both Wolff and Verstappen happened to be present on the Italian island of Sardinia at the same time.
The news quickly spread through the paddock, with many assuming the two were there to discuss a possible deal. However, GPblog previously reported that no meeting actually took place between Verstappen and Wolff in Sardinia.
The team boss has now first responded to the rumours, setting the record straight once and for all.
