Kelly Piquet breaks silence on life with Max Verstappen and daughter Lily

Verstappen and Piquet's relationship dates back to 2020. The daughter of former world champion Nelson Piquet was already a mother to daughter Penelope, but along with Verstappen, welcomed a daughter, Lily, prior to the Miami Grand Prix. In an interview, the Brazilian model shares that she has the same passion for motorsport as her partner.

"I breathe motorsport," says Kelly Piquet, laughing in an interview with the Portuguese broadcaster TVI. "It's something that comes naturally to me. And in the end, I've started a family with an F1 driver. Well, not married yet, but we've started a family," she corrects quickly.

Piquet emphasizes that she did not intentionally choose an F1 driver as a partner. "It wasn't planned on purpose," she laughs. "I've had several relationships with men who weren't in that field, but it was just meant to be."

Max Verstappen's girlfriend then explains that she will not be going back to work for now. "It's been six weeks," she says. "So it was also hard to come here today because my daughter is the only thing I'll be focused on this summer. I'm taking the time before I resume my professional activities," says the Brazilian.
