Is Taylor Swift really singing about Alonso in this new song?

Were Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift a couple? With the British singer's new album, the rumour mill has restarted. Is Swift hinting at Aston Martin?

On 19 April, Taylor Swift released the new album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. That album features a song called 'imgonnagetyouback'. In that song, which can be found as the 18th song on the album, Swift sings about an Aston Martin driving into the ditch. A reference to an Alonso driver to whom she was long linked to?

It wouldn't be the first time Swift had written about an ex in a song, although there is no certainty that the two had a relationship. Swift and Alonso were linked to each other in 2023, and those rumours were fuelled by the Spaniard himself when he appeared with a snap on social media, with Taylor's song 'Karma' below that video.

Yet the duo does not seem to be getting together anytime soon, as Swift is currently with NFL star Travis Kelce. Swift and Kelce have been a couple since September 2023, and Swift's appearances at his games were noticeable. Swift can regularly be seen dancing in the stands during one of his games. A lot of attention also went to her presence during the Super Bowl. Kelce's team, the Kansas City Chiefs, managed to win that Super Bowl.
