Wolff curious about Mercedes at Monza: 'We'll see how we get on'

"Zandvoort was a frustrating weekend. There was potential, but we failed to capitalise on it. We got the call wrong with the switch to Intermediates and that put us on the back foot. From there, it was about trying to salvage what we could," Wolff briefly looked back at last weekend in which points were scored only by Lewis Hamilton (P6). George Russell finished 17th and last after a puncture.

Wolff calls the missed opportunities 'annoying,' but: "Weekends like this only fire us up to bounce back even stronger." The German racing team has learned a lot, according to the team boss, and that will be taken to the next race at Monza. "Monza's track characteristics are the complete opposite to Zandvoort, so we'll see how we get on. It's also sure to be another spectacular atmosphere this weekend."

Mercedes is still second in the world championship. The Brackley-based formation collected 255 points in thirteen races. That is 40 more than Aston Martin, the current number three in the World Constructors' Championship. Ferrari follows in fourth place with 201 points.
