Red Bull is the team the other Formula 1 teams need to beat in the coming years. With Max Verstappen at the wheel, the team made of the famous Austrian energy drink seems unbeatable. Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber thinks that the team gets too little praise for its achievements.
From 2010 to 2013, Red Bull was already champion with Sebastian Vettel. After years of Mercedes' dominance, the Austrian racing stable could compete for the world title again in 2021. Max Verstappen won his first title, and a second immediately followed in 2022. Meanwhile, it is the summer break of the 2023 season, and the Dutchman is a whopping 125 points ahead of No 2 in the standings, his teammate Sergio Perez. Red Bull has won every race so far, setting the record for most wins in a row for a constructor.

Webber on Red Bull

Speaking to Motorsport.com, Webber says he thinks his old team would have received more praise if they were a manufacturer: "Because, in essence, it’s still a team made of tremendous individuals and people that have done a great job to engineer beautiful Formula 1 cars for world championships with constructors’ and drivers’ [titles], and to be dominant in many ways. So, I think that their ability to be able to do that has been a great success story."
