Max Verstappen expects changeable weather again on Sunday. There will be a lot of showers in the Ardennes, making the conditions treacherous. The Red Bull Racing driver knows exactly how to cope with this, however, as evidenced by his excellent performance in a qualifying session that was marred by a crash from Lando Norris in Q3.
"To get the tyres up to temperature was very difficult. I'm happy with the pole position, this track has proved to be a good track for us in both dry and wet weather. Tomorrow will probably be like qualifying: dry and wet, dry and wet," Verstappen said to the Sky Sports camera.

His mate Norris' violent crash also came up in discussion. Verstappen is relieved that the McLaren driver's injuries don't appear to be too bad at first glance. "The most important thing is that Lando is okay and can race tomorrow because it didn't look good and he is a good friend of mine".
It is still uncertain whether Norris will actually be able to take part in the Belgian Grand Prix. The current world championship number three is currently in hospital having his photos taken. That will reveal whether he is fit to race over 300km tomorrow.
