Van der Garde on title opportunities Verstappen: "I think it's possible"

According to former F1-driver Giedo van der Garde Max Verstappen has his best chance so far to win the world championship. Van der Garde thinks Red Bull Racing is better prepared than previous years.

"For the future I also have absolute hope that he can become our first Dutch World Champion. I definitely think that this is possible at Red Bull", said van der Garde to Jennie Gow in a video conversation.

According to van der Garde, Verstappen has been in top form since last season. The Red Bull car often seemed to have a slow start in recent seasons, but now the new car seems to be close to the Mercedes.

"So this year he has a real chance, but Lewis Hamilton is still there. He's his biggest threat. He has the experience and already knows how to win a world title", van der Garde ends.
