The race weekend in Belgium starts today. It is the last race before the summer break begins. Max Verstappen, despite his grid penalty of five spots, seems to be the big favourite to win the Grand Prix on Sunday. However, several teams have upgrades with him, according to FIA documents.

Red Bull takes one upgrade to Belgium

Red Bull itself is taking it easier than last weekend. They are taking only one upgrade with them. This one is specifically for the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. It involves an upgrade to the engine cover. The upgrade reduces the output of cooling for the rear top wishbones.

Mercedes unpacks

Mercedes packs out a bit bigger. They are taking no less than three upgrades that should ensure better performance. The first upgrade is to the engine cover, and should help the flow conditioning. The second upgrade is to the floor. Small changes have been done to the bottom of the floor's volume distribution. Finally, another upgrade has been done to the rear wing, which should provide less drag. Another reliability upgrade has also been done by Mercedes, by putting a larger sidepod inlet on the car.

The rest of the teams

Ferrari, like Mercedes, has included an upgrade to the rear wing, which should provide less drag on the straight. Alpine has included another upgrade to the floor, which should improve overall performance. AlphaTauri includes another upgrade to the rear wing. In addition, Aston Martin is also taking another upgrade to the floor, which is performance-oriented. Furthermore, McLaren, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Williams and Alpine are also taking with them upgrades specific to this Grand Prix.
