Ricciardo drove the AT04 for the first time: 'Good feeling'

"Firstly, nice to be back," Ricciardo told Viaplay's cameras. "In a way, it felt normal being back in the car. That was nice. This morning, I think I got one dry lap but even the one lap, I already felt, ‘this is cool,’ it feels good again," said the upbeat AlphaTauri driver.

In the afternoon, it was dry for the entire session. He was able to get a first taste of the car that he will drive for the next 12 races. "In the afternoon, I think the first set of mediums was not too bad. We're kind of working away at it and then on the soft, it's still learning, putting a lap together."

Concluding: "In general, I got a good feeling on the car today and things for me to work on, which I'm not too concerned about and then some things on the car that we can just keep looking at and improving."
