Max Verstappen has handed Red Bull Racing a third drivers' title in a row. Helmut Marko naturally saw it coming for several months, but in Qatar's sprint race it has arrived. Marko is hugely happy, but did state that the weekend is not over yet: another GP is scheduled tomorrow at the Losail International Circuit.
"Unbelievable!" is Marko's first reaction to Viaplay. "TThe safety car unfortunately ruined our strategy, otherwise we could have gone for a win, but we are world champion and that’s all that matters." Is the 80-year-old Austrian is used to Verstappen and his success? "I know him now for 10 years and I'm always surprised, there is no end. It's going on and on, so it's unbelievable with him."

Party at Red Bull

In conquering his world championship on Saturday, Verstappen is following in the footsteps of father-in-law Nelson Piquet, who also managed it earlier the day before Sunday. Marko was asked where the party is tonight. "We will have a small party in the hotel with limited time, because we want to win the race tomorrow, so we have to stay fit."
Whether a slight headache will be a problem during tomorrow's 300-kilometre race? "No, no, we will be fully concentrated," Marko smiled.
