Google briefly mistook the winner of the Australian Grand Prix on Monday. Max Verstappen crossed the finish line first, but the world's biggest search engine briefly mistook the Dutchman for Oscar Piastri. Salient detail: Google is a sponsor of McLaren. A belated April 1 joke?
Piastri picked up points in his home Grand Prix for the first time in his Formula 1 career. The 21-year-old Australian finished eighth, scoring four points. McLaren teammate Lando Norris finished sixth.
