The subject of racism is a much-discussed topic in the royal class of motor racing at the moment. The Formula 1 organization already made a statement by creating the initiative #WeRaceAsOne and now the GPDA is going to make itself heard.
The Grand Prix Drivers' Association, in fact the union of Formula 1 drivers, will 'publicly support' the current situation prior to the Austrian Grand Prix. That is what has been decided after several online meetings.
All twenty drivers will, according to information from the BBC, wear a T-shirt with the text 'end racism'. Before the start of the race there will also be an opportunity to make an individual statement. It is not yet clear exactly how this will be filled in.
