This Thursday marks the start to a busy weekend during the Spanish Grand Prix as we hear from the drivers in today's press conference. As usual, GPblog gathers the day’s most important news and delivers it straight to you in our daily liveblog.

Mclaren CEO Zak Brown puts an end to cheating allegations

Brown believes the arguments against McLaren have reached a breaking point, as he stated in an exclusive interview with PlanetF1, "That’s where the sport is today, but I believe it’s gone too far.”
The CEO urged the FIA to step in and solve this issue that is a waste of the governing body's resources by calling for a deposit style process for when team's submit their complaints. He believes this could act as a deterrent and control the "politickery" within the sport.
"I think there’s a few people that take it beyond what I believe is an acceptable amount of politicking, so to speak.”

After it was announced last year that Hamilton would be leaving Mercedes for Ferrari, questions were raised as to where Carlos Sainz would move to for the 2025 season after being left without a seat.
The performance of Perez last year caused for speculations as to whether Sainz would be able to fill this position, in a team he was affiliated with up until 2018. However, the Spanish driver announced that Red Bull was not a possibility for him.
