We have now completed 20 Grands Prix and with only weekends to go, we are fast approaching the end of the 2022 season. In Brazil and Abu Dhabi, several teams are still battling for millions of euros in prize money in the constructors' championship with a direct competitor.

Still a lot to fight for

The battle for second place is still open, although the 40-point gap for Mercedes towards Ferrari seems just too big. What does speak in favour of the German stable, however, is that there is still a sprint race scheduled at the Interlagos circuit where World Championship points can also be scored.
Alpine saw Fernando Alonso retire in the Mexican Grand Prix, losing precious points. McLaren came a few points closer thanks to a P7 and P9 from Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris respectively, leaving Alpine's margin only seven points: 153 to 146.
For their part, Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin engaged in a fierce battle for sixth place in the World Constructors' Championship. Valtteri Bottas picked up an important point on the semi-street circuit in Mexico City, as Sebastian Vettel (P14) and Lance Stroll (P15) did not come close to a top-ten finish.
