Zhou stays with Alfa Romeo in 2024, Pourchaire remains reserve driver

Guanyu Zhou will continue to be active in Formula 1 next year. Alfa Romeo reported on Thursday morning that the Chinese driver's contract has been extended for another year. This means Theo Pourchaire will continue to be the team's reserve driver next year

It was long uncertain whether the Chinese driver would also be active in the top class of motorsport next year. Pourchaire leads the Formula 2 championship as a Sauber junior. Besides, a lot is going to change at the team, with preparations for Audi's entry in 2026. Still, the team has decided to keep Zhou with the team for next season. Zhou will also be Vallteri Bottas' teammate next year. The Finn still has a contract until 2025.
