Red Bull Racing driver, Isack Hadjar, witnessed his running come to an abrupt halt during the morning session on Day 1 at the Bahrain International Circuit after suffering a water system issue with his car, GPblog can confirm.
The young French driver, who is scheduled to run the RB22 throughout the opening day, managed just 13 laps before the problem struck.
Prior to the setback, Hadjar’s best time was a 1:36.188, placing him sixth on the timing sheets at the time of the stoppage.

It is worth noting that the issue comes after another reliability problem hampered his running on the second day of last week’s test at the Sakhir Circuit, limiting his track time. However, Hadjar is expected to make up valuable mileage during the afternoon session in Bahrain.

Hadjar recounts how he moved on from Barcelona crash

Earlier, Hadjar also explained how he moved on from his crash during the shakedown in Barcelona. The Red Bull Racing driver found the barriers at Turn 14 at the weather-affected Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Hadjar admitted that he thought about Pierre Gasly’s infamous 2019 crash, among other things, as part of the process that helped him put the incident behind him.
