OFFICIAL: Stewards share verdict on Verstappen and Leclerc's main straight incident

After the Safety Car restart, Verstappen was running in third position ahead of Leclerc, but because he was on a three-stop strategy, Red Bull pitted him for a set of fresh hards, the only new tyres at their disposal. The Dutchman's car snapped out of the final corner on cold tyres, and Leclerc could attack him immediately on the straight.

As the two were side by side, they made contact at high speed. For his incident with George Russell afterwards, Verstappen already received a ten-second penalty and three penalty points. That means he is one points away from a suspension.
