F1 tyre supplier announces major shake-up ahead of 2026 campaign

Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli have announced that Mario Isola will step down as the company’s motorsport director ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
According to a statement from Pirelli, Isola, who has overseen F1 tyre supplies since 2011, will be succeeded by Dario Marrafuschi on March 1st. Marrafuschi will take charge of the tyre supplier’s motorsport activities, including Formula 1.
Isola, who also manages tyre supply for Formula 2 and Formula 3, will remain with Pirelli until July 1st to ensure a smooth transition. After that, he will leave the company to pursue new opportunities.

Marrafuschi will report to Giovanni Tronchetti Provera, who serves as the organisation’s executive vice president of sustainability, new mobility & motorsport.
