The Cadillac team - which hopes to make its entrance into Formula 1 in 2026 - is busy building the organisation. Graeme Lowdon's appointment as team principal had come recently, and now the American team's team manager has also been anounced.
Cadillac has brought in Peter Crolla for the position. Crolla comes over from Haas F1. So the Brit is no stranger to Formula 1, as he helped build up Haas F1, providing him with experience and background in building a new F1 team, something the American team needs with their debut set to take place in a little over a year's time.

Haas' experienced force

Crolla came to Haas in 2015 from McLaren, where he was initially race team coordinator. In mid-2017, he was promoted to team manager. Save for a brief stint as operations manager, he remained in that role until the end of last year. After a reshuffle in senior management at Haas, the Briton then left the team now lead by Ayao Komatsu.

Cadillac hopes to get the final green light on joining F1 in the foreseeable future. First, it's still to be agreed, among other things, what the entry fee will be for the new team, mainly because the current teams want to be compensated for the loss of revenue if the prize money no longer has to be shared by ten teams, but by eleven instead.
