Verstappen left angry after being taken out: 'I got hit like crazy, f****** idiots'

Max Verstappen could overtake Liam Lawson off the line, and was in P6 heading into Turn 3. However, Kimi Antonelli locked up into the corner, hitting the defending world champion in the process.

Both the Red Bull Racing and Mercedes car stopped on the track, causing a Safety Car.

Over the team radio, he commented: "I'm out. I got hit like crazy, f****** idiots."

Antonelli also immediately apologised over the radio, explaining he locked his rear tyre.

The Briton could get off the line well, and into Turn 3, he could keep his lead against Oscar Piastri, who could overtake Charles Leclerc already into Turn 1.
