Kevin Magnussen has been banned from competing in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku after collecting 12 penalty points on his race licence at Monza.

Magnussen banned in Baku after an incident in Italian Grand Prix

Magnussen hit Pierre Gasly's Alpine and received a 10-second penalty from the stewards for causing a collision. As usual, that also landed him two penalty points on his license. Since he had already accumulated ten penalty points since the start of the Formula One season, this means he now has a total of 12 penalty points.
This will put the Danish driver on a one race ban. Oliver Bearman is expected to replace him in Baku. The young Briton already made his F1 debut earlier this year with an unexpected replacement for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari and has a permanent seat at Haas in 2025. So presumably in Baku he will make his Grand Prix debut for his future team.
