British newspapers and various Formula 1 websites wrote that Lewis Hamilton and his manager had parted ways shortly before the start of the new F1 season. GPblog can confirm this story is in fact incorrect.
It was reported that Marc Hynes had decided to step down as Hamilton's manager because he's joining Cadillac. Indeed, Hynes will be working for the new Formula 1 team. That part of the story is true.
However, Hynes hasn’t been Hamilton’s manager for a number of years. Hynes did support the former world champion in 2024 with the transition to Ferrari and worked also as a consultant on the racing side of his business. However he was not the seven-time world champion's manager.
During this time, Hynes has also been working with Cadillac, supporting their bid to join F1. Now they are on the grid, he has moved over full-time where he is liking up again with Gareme Lowdon, who he worked with at Manor and as part of a driver-management company.

Hamilton has his own team

In 2024 Lewis started to build his own in-house team, which was rebranded as ‘Lewis Hamilton Ventures’ last September. COO is Ross Connolly, who also oversees all the commercial activity. It employs around 16 people and looks after all business interests including racing.
